Dream about spiders

Hi, I'm looking for some insight... I just woke from a terrible dream of being overcome by spiders. In my dream I was outside my childhood home talking with my sister that I am closest to. At first it was just a few small spiders that landed on my arms and I swatted them away and moved from where I was standing but then there were hundreds of large ones all over me. I began to scream and plead for my sister to help and she tried in vain because there were just too many. I remember feeling bitten on my back. That was all, it was very short.

I woke up and instantly felt that it wasn't just a weird dream. I used to have trusted people in my life to speak to concerning the interpretation and meanings of dreams. I felt lead to do a little research online and found this forum. I don't usually post in forums but I just felt like I should.

I had similar dreams lately about spiders attacking and I am an arachnophobe for large spiders....Small spiders doesn't bother me, it's the big ones!

I do have plenty of very complex challenges going on in my life right now.

Yes, I can confirm that. I'm a newlywed of 5 mouths and new stepmother too. In addition to a narcissistic mother in law. My life is extremely full of complicated challenges.

Yup, it's all in the intricate webs that spiders spin. That's pretty much the metaphorical message that your subconscious is trying to get through to you. It might be worth sitting down with a counsellor or a pastor to help unravel these 'mental webs' so that you can tackle challenges with a clearer mind.

The bigger the spider/web, the bigger the challenge? Just a thought.

They were huntsman spiders. Those infamous big spiders commonly found in Australia.

We had lots of them in the house in my childhood but completely gone in the last several years. I had nightmares of them.

It's interesting we still got some of these spiders in the neighborhood but they all avoid our house despite having lots of cockroaches (their food).

What kind of spiders were they? If there is anything to interpret ( as apposed to just a bad dream) it might mean something different depending on spider species.

I have had bad spider dreams a few times in the past as well ._.
