Trump supporters in Georgia threaten to destroy GOP, boycott runoff elections

Reading remarks off his phone, the protester in the camo vows to dismantle the party.

"If the Republican establishment stands back and stands by and allows the steal to go through, we will do whatever it takes to completely destroy the Republican Party," he said. "We will accept nothing less than a Donald Trump victory." He also accused recounts and ballots of being "fake"—yet claims about voter fraud have been widely debunked.

They're threatening to self-destruct if they don't get what they want.... ummm... okay?

Thoughts?

Trump supporters in Georgia threaten to destroy GOP, boycott runoff elections

Hi TLK,

I agree with the majority position of this thread. I'd like to see them boycott the coming runoff. I look forward to our nation working to get rid of all things 'Trump'. As I've pretty much always understood 'who' Donald Trump is, I don't think we can get rid of his influence in our governance fast enough. The hate and division brought about by his self-serving, narcissistic peacock crowing, has done nothing but hobble pretty much our entire federal and state governments.

I've said it before. The Scriptures, to be more precise, Jesus himself, has warned us that as we approach the last days, the love of most will grow cold. That prophecy is being fulfilled within our lifetimes. We have become, generally speaking of course, a self-centered and greedy people. Thinking of ourselves, as a nation, better than anyone else. As I look across the very fiber or our nation, I can see the fulfillment of Paul's warning as to what is coming for our nation, and ultimately the world.

"Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."

They became fools. Therefore God has given us over to the sinful desire of our hearts. Then Paul lists a plethora of all the sins that our now free reigning sinful hearts will manifest in society. We will become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. Gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful. Having no understanding or fidelity. No love or mercy.

Now, surely Donald Trump didn't set us on this path, but in fulfilling Paul's prophetic words, he has done his utmost best to amplify and speed the process.

God bless,
ted

This, along with the divisions brewing within the Democratic Party, is a sign for me that the two parties iron grip on power may well be in danger of being undone due to their extreme elements tearing them apart from the inside. Both parties have factions that have opposite goals. Republicans have the Trump or populist wing vs the establishment wing and Democrats have the socialist wing vs the corporatist wing. Neither party is likely to coalesce under one ideology anytime soon. . The only thing currently keeping them from splintering apart is that the lust for power overrides everything else among the leaders of each party.

A viral video of protesters, as well as posts on social media platform Parler, indicate that Trump supporters are looking to boycott the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff elections.

Clearly the greatest conservative minds in America are now gathered together on Parler.

@miamited , I don't share your perception of approaching end times, or your Christian faith. But I do share your despair and dismay at the toxic divisiveness that Trump has exposed and encouraged. As a long time admirer of the US (between residence and visits I've spent close to 10% of my adult life there) it has been painful to watch events unfold. But I remain an optimist. The nation that broke free of British Imperialism, survived the bloodshed of civil war, developed the largest economy on the planet and became de facto world leader will overcome the aberration of a mean, mealy-mouthed poltroon.

Trump is a symptom of the divisiveness not the first cause of it.

These are typically the same people that are all for freedom of religion, so long as that religion is Christianity and nothing else.

The fact that this little known thing called Democracy is an inconvenience now it hasn't gone their way is, well, unsurprising and sadly consistent with the general hypocrisy that runs in those circles.

Hi ophiolite,

Well, just for funzies, if you have a copy of God's word, the Scriptures, open up to the first chapter of Paul's letter to the believers in Rome. It's only a two minute read.

However, I do appreciate your agreement in your assessment of what Donald Trump has done for America.

God bless,
ted

Hi TLK,

Gotcha! I had forgotten that scene in Blazing Saddles also. Of course, that's what slap stick comedy is all about. Taking the totally outrageous and using it for normal.:tearsofjoy:

If we go by that definition, Donald might go down in history as our first slapstick president.
