It's getting close to the 2020 elections and they'll say whatever they can to form angry mobs against him IMHO. Can't trust the mainstream media.

I can understand not reporting it the year that it happened. What I don't understand is why she didn't come forward with this in 2016-2017 when Trump's reputation was taking hits for the Access Hollywood recording and when #metoo was taking off and when the Stormy Daniels case was still accepted as credible. It would be more credible to me if she came out then when it was safer for a victim, rather than when she's trying to get a book out now.

How credible is the allegation? My initial guess is, not very, unless she reported it to the police before her audience.

The women she told on the 1990's have verified the story. I believe it, along with 99.9% of what is published.

They draw a compelling and consistent picture. And his enablers and accomplices are blackening their own characters by accepting this behavior.

Exactly. We're expected to believe every allegation against him in spite of zero evidence, no police report, and an inappropriate means of finally "coming out" about it.

I’d be more likely to believe her if she wasn’t trying to make money off of it.

“The alleged attack occurred “in the fall of 1995 or the spring of 1996,” according to Carroll. At the time, Trump was married to his second wife, Marla Maples.“

Details like this also make the story suspect.

What about the Stormy Daniels case was shown to be false, other than Trumps claims of not knowing about the payments?

Being an adulterer doesn't automatically make someone a sexual abuser. You can't look at one part of someone's life, none of someone else's (in this case, the accuser), and then conclude that the bad thing almost certainly happened. I know it was popular during the election to accuse Trump of this and that, but as we learned back then (and were reminded when he nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the SC), the burden of proof is on the accuser in these cases to prove that what they say happened, did, and not on the accused to try and weasel their way out of vague accusations that were improperly revealed.

You mean the defamation case? She said Trump defamed her, the judge said what Trump said was in the context of 'rhetorical hyperbole' and against a political....[sorry, can't remember] and therefore, fell under 'freedom of speech'.

She considered calling the police. One of the women she confided in told her to go to the police. The other said, "He has 200 lawyers. He'll never be convicted, and it will destroy you..."

Well, she could have made $130,000 if she complained and later signed a non-disclosure agreement. I bet there are so many of them locked up in a vault somehwere that you could paper the walls of the White House lobby with them.

Yes, Stormy Daniels lost her court case. It doesn't change the fact that Trump cheated on his 3rd wife (with whom he had cheated on when he was with his 2nd wife) and paid hush money to keep it quiet. She and her story are still credible - I would actually use the term "verified", regardless of how her lawsuit ended up.

Quite interesting that you don't seem to have questions about Trump's credibility despite his rampant dishonest on any number of topics.

No, being a serial adulterer doesn't automatically make someone a sexual abuser. Having over 20 accusations of sexual abuse spanning over 3 decades, and also being recorded saying that you like to grope women by their privates without their consent does, however, lead one to the rational conclusion that Trump is, indeed, a sexual abuser. Additionally, he was quite candid on calling being able to walk into the dressing rooms of teenage girls at his beauty pageants one of the perks of running them.

It wasn't just "popular at the election" to accuse Trump. There were real-time accusations in the 90's and early 2000's as well. Of course, Trump, a man of wealth and power, was able to get those accusations thrown out, but his Presidential campaign only increased the number, not the type, of accusations of sexual misconduct.
