Don’t we long to see our Lord again and our hearts to rejoice and no one will take our joy from us ?

For we heard:

“Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Why our Lord said, “therefore you now have sorrow”?

How our Lord perceive and understand our sorrow.

This is what we have heard before John 16:22, that He said in John 16:21,

“A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, our Lord considered our sorrow as a a woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come;
but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

Beloved ones, how do her sorrow turn to joy ? as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for a joy that a human being has been born into the world.

Beloved ones, our Lord considered her sorrow as our sorrow. So when she is in labor, we are in labor, have sorrow because our hour has come.

So as soon as she has given birth to the child, we consider that as soon as we have given birth to the child. What child we have given birth ?

For we heard she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. So likewise, we no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

Beloved ones, what a human being, that we have born into the world ?

I think for all of us here on this site, it will surely be joy overflowing, to know that Jesus is here at last, in the flesh.
We know that He is with us in Spirit, but to see His beloved face and to hear His voice is going to be Miraculous indeed.
I know that many people wonder how they will react to Him actually being present.
Will they jump for joy, or fall at His feet, or crowd around Him, like we have read of, or shout "Hosannah!" no one knows. But surely it will be a glorious day!

Beloved ones, we heard in John 16:21, our Lord described us, His disciples as a woman in labor.

Likewise, we also heard:
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:3-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Beloved ones, do you consider the woman in labor in Revelation 12:1-6 as the same woman that He spoke in John 16:21?
