Repentance is technically necessary in that it is an inherent part of belief. If you believe and truly accept Jesus, then you will repent. If you don't repent, then you must not have accepted Jesus.

Lk.18:9-14 - This parable teaches us that Faith, and Repentance in Grace, in one complete pattern of prayer of a sinner (us) can be justified or given pardon by the Lord. Now, where does Repentance comes in as the integral part of Salvation?
Mark 1.14-15:

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Does the Scriptures teaches us that “Repentance’’ is the “Integral’’ part of Salvation? Repentance is an integral part of being saved.

How can belief only ever save the person who remains impenitent of his sins?

Some things to note about Luke 18:9-14:

--this took place BEFORE Christ's NT came into effect and while the law of Moses was still in effect so it is not an example of NT salvation. Neither prayer that was prayed by the Pharisee or publican mentioned belief in Christ, Christ's death on the cross, the blood of Christ in washing away sins or even mentions the name of Jesus Christ at all.

--both men were Jews therefore both were of God's elect Israel and allowed to enter the Temple, Luke 18:10 cf Ezekiel 44:9. Therefore this cannot relate to the lost sinner, the non-elect outside of the body of Christ.

--Christ's NT does not speak at all about one repeating a "sinner's prayer" to be saved but requires one to hear (Romans 10:17) believe (john 8:24 repent (Luke 13:3) confess (Matthew 10:32-33) submit to baptism Mark 16:16 and live faithfully unto death (Revelation 2:10)

--God does not acknowledge i.e., respond to the prayer of the sinner who has never been in a saved covenant relationship with God, - Psalms 66:18; Proverbs 15:19; Isaiah 59:2; John 9:31; 1 Peter 3:12.

Plus, many do not believe Jesus when He said -

Luke 13:3
I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

Faith should produce fruit, this fruit is repentance, and holyness.
If you don't repent, and you live in sin, then you don't have the spirit.

The demons believe in one God, but they shudder.
So obviously belief ain't enough.
Repentance comes after Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ because when a person believes(Faith), he acknowledges his sin (Repentance) in the saving grace which is in the Lord Jesus Christ who paid the death penalty.

Do the Scriptures teaches us that “Repentance’’ is the “Integral’’ part of Salvation?

"Be ye repenting" (one word in the Greek) is the very first word of the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed by John the Baptizer of our Lord, then proclaimed by our Lord Himself after John was killed in prison, and continued in the Book of the Acts of the Holy Apostles by the great Apostle Peter to the Gentiles: "Repent and be Baptized every one of you..."

So that repentance is an action taken by a believer unto Salvation.
However it is not Salvation itself.
Salvation itself is the Marriage of the Lamb of God to man...
Repentance is the purification of man in preparation for this marriage...
Just as a Bride prepares herself for marriage and bathes on her wedding day,
So does the Christian purify his heart in repentance unto his/her Baptism into Christ.

"For as many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ..."

Salvation (itself) is by (God's) Grace
through (the) Faith (of Christ),
(which He discipled to His disciples)
Not by works (of repentance) lest any should boast
(for great are the labors of repentance)
But of God the Gift (of Salvation)

Only God HAS this Grace to Give, and in His Ekonomia (Household) He grants it to those who embrace the Faith Christ gave to us which begins with repentance from sin... Our repentance is not Salvation. Salvation is UNION with God, and that union is a function of the degree of our repentance, but is not the repentance itself, but of the Grace given to us by God Who ALONE HAS that Grace to GIVE to us...

And the degree of this Giving is according to His Purposing, and not only according to our repenting. ("I will have Mercy on WHOMSOEVER I WILL have Mercy.")

The Orthodox regard this as a great Mystery.

Repentance is an act of violence by man against himself by which he gains the Kingdom of Heaven. The Old Man must be crucified as we take up our own cross and follow Christ... "From John the Baptist till now, the Kingdom of Heaven has suffered violence, and the violent are taking it by force."

So on the one hand we are taking the Kingdom of Heaven by violence, and on the other, only so according to the Grace which God suffers us to have... Hence the Mystery...

OP: Q1: "where does "Repentance" come in as the integral part of Salvation?

A1: It does NOT!

Man can repent BEFORE being saved, yes. IMO,

It is the ONLY way man can get saved.

Please teach an unbeliever the STEPS...the WORKS he must do.... as necessary conditions to being born again fom above...spiritually changed.

John 6: 28-29, 35, 40 (NASB
28 Therefore they (crowds) said to Him,
“What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them,
“This is the work of God, that you BELIEVE in Him whom He has sent.” ...
35 Jesus said to them,
“I am the bread of life;
he who COMES to Me will not hunger, (repent?)
and he who BELIEVES in Me will never thirst....
40 For this is the will of My Father, that
everyone who BEHOLDS the Son (repent?)
and BELIEVES in Him will have eternal life,
and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

A&E were disobedient...not the first "evil folks".
Lucifer / followers were disobient BEFORE Eden.
A&E were disciplined...cast out of Eden...made to fend for themselves.
Lucifer / followers were disciplined....angels cast out of the heavenly realms.
BOTH were separated from God by SIN...separation was the result.

"Original Sin" and "Total Depravity" doctines are NOT TRUE!!

A&E walked and talked with God in Eden. There were no "others" there.

Man turned to living for himself and AND to disobeyIng God

Through "free will" given to Men and Angels,
Man has a "SIN NATURE...Body/ Soul combo innately selfish, thereby turning away from God SPIRITUALLY!

The only possible solution is to turn back to God...this is what "repentance" means.

AND "repentance" is an inseparable PART of ACCEPTING God's ONLY provisions for salvation. Turn and Face Him!

OT:

Number 23:19
“God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent; (REGRET)
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

"that He should repent;" ...Hebrews 5162...nacham...
to be sorry, console oneself, regret, comfort, be comforted

"to repent."...Hebrews 7725...shuwb...to return, turn back

NT:

Matthew 3:2; 4:17 ; Mark 1:15
“Repent, for the "kingdom of heaven" (God) is at hand.” (Jesus the Divine Messiah has come!...good news!)

"Repent,...Greek 3340...metanoeo...to change one's mind / to change one's mind for the better; heartily to amend with abhorrence one's past sins

Repentance (metanoia, 'change of mind') involves a turning with contrition from sin to God; the repentant sinner is in the proper condition to ACCEPT the divine forgiveness." (SALVATION)

To Me, repent simply means: RE-THINK...spiritually turning to God when He calls / draws you.

Repentance in context has TWO meanings:

1. repent UNTO salvation...God calls/draws you to Him from sinful self...turning to God to ACCEPT THE GIFT!

e.g. Jesus preached:

Mark 1 (NASB)...Jesus Preaches in Galilee
14 Now after John (the Baptizer) had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel (good news) of God, 15 and saying,
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; (Jesus the Divine Messiah had come!)
repent AND believe in the "gospel".” (Jesus the Divine Messiah had come!)

Luke 24...Jesus: AFTER The Resurrection
47 and that repentance for (because of?) forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Romans 2 (NASB)
4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience,
not knowing that the kindness (GRACE!) of God (the Holy Spirit) LEADS you to repentance?

2 Cor. 7:10
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret,
leading to salvation, (NOT a condition of!)
but the sorrow of the world produces death.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, (unbelievers?)not wishing for ANY to perish
but for ALL to come to repentance.

2 Timothy 2:25
with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, (NOT a condition of!)

2. repent BACK into fellowship after sinning...e.g. The Parable of the Prodigal Son

Luke 15 (NASB)...Jesus and the Parable of "The Lost Coin"
10 In the same way, I tell you,
there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Repentance for believers involves CONFESSION
and claiming cleansing and forgiveness of sins purchased by Jesus' completed work on the Cross.

1 John 1...God Is Light
5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light,
and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have FELLOWSHIP with Him and yet walk in the darkness,
we lie and do not PRACTICE the truth;
7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light,
we have FELLOWSHIP with "one another", (BELIEVERS)
and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess (AGREE WITH GOD ABOUT) our sins,
He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
