FACT CHECK: Does Iowa Grant Gun Permits to Blind People?
It is true that Iowa law allows for the granting of gun permits to individuals who are legally or completely blind, although technically, it was never the case that blind people were barred from owning firearms on the explicit basis of their visual impairment.

A change in regulations (implemented in 2011, not 2018) made it easier for people with limited sight or other physical disabilities, to acquire a gun permit, and gave licensing authorities less leeway in deciding whether and to whom they would issue a permit.
tulc(...isn't sure what to think about this...) :sorry:

You never shot a gun in the dark or blindfolded?
hmmm...would it count that when I had to try and qualify in the Air Force on the M16 they made me take the test without my glasses? I had to have one of my buddies point me in the right direction before I could shoot...needless to say I didn't do...well. :sorry:

If not you need to live a bit .;)
Dude...I drive in all over Chicago every day and a lot at night as well, If I "lived a bit" anymore it'd probably kill me!
