I really want to deliver myself [if this is possible?] from demons? I'm a born-again believer. I received my baptism about..a year? after I accepted Christ. I KNOW I am indwelt with the Holy Spirit..and have had massive change in my life through the working of the Holy Spirit in me. But..I feel like the demons I had BEFORE I was saved..carried over to my new life in Christ. I accepted Christ without knowledge of demonic oppression/'carryovers'.

So is it possible to self-deliver? If so, can you recommend me any mp3 voice recording of such a session or perhaps a YouTube video..or anything. I really want to be free of this..which has been going on since 2012- the year I got saved. I am just incredibly tired of dealing with all of this on a daily basis. It feels like I'm being held back from my true potential in Christ.

If you are capable... I would take a day and fast and pray. There are no "specialists" in this because the power is of God. Any person of God can be used to deliver another if it be God's will... but in this case, it SOUNDS MORE LIKE you have spirits trying to cast doubt rather than have any demonic type possession. A day of fasting and prayer will help you get more in tune with God and hopefully during this He will reveal the direction you should go.

Remember, God isn't the only spirit that can whisper in our ears. The Adversary knows what you were and will always try to use that to bring you back to where you were. Resist and draw closer to God.

The bible says we resist evildoers by doing what is right and that a person is filled by their ways. I'd recommend to trust God in everything (like doing the dishes) you do and make it a thing you do with God so there's no room for anything else.

I believe you might have some spirits around you, you may even have some oppression going on, the likelihood of being possessed and also have the indwelling Holy Spirit seems very unlikely. My approach to this is to draw all the nearer to Jesus Christ. Read scripture, pray. In short be in very close alignment with God on a personal level. And in my case if something is going on this activity tends to subside.

Be aware that as you get more active with the lost in witnessing etc, the enemy doesn't want them saved and you could come under further attack. Very common forms of attack are doubts. As mentioned already, Satan knows exactly what our past is and is very clever at using it. If you should get involved in ministry you could even have some manifestations show up around you here and there. Test the spirits make them confess the name of Jesus. I've had them leave me by naming Jesus and telling them to depart my presence. I can tell there is demonic activity around me because I get anxiety, I also get anxiety with sin present. Even though we are forgiven at the cross I find confessing sin to Jesus what ever it might be and confessing the name of Jesus brings peace back.

New believers I think come under more consistent attack than veterans. We see it right here in the forums with people who are new to Jesus from say 6 months to 2 or 3 years, who now doubt faith, doubt their walk, doubt doubt doubt ! Everything was wonderful at first, then it starts. The enemy is always around us but can prey on the less initiated easier. But veterans can draw more serious attacks later on too.

Be careful of what you watch and read and who you participate in things with , even here in the forum. It's easy to pick up a spirit. A spirit of doubt, a spirit of wonder, a spirit of what ever that is not of Christ Jesus. I get in trouble every time I participate in something Satan, I don't care what it is, could be legit videos on spiritual warfare or witnessing to someone that runs on the dark side more than average. I end up with an attack generally but I can remove it. You don't need seeds of doubt, know your Gospel is true, that Jesus second person God came on earth, died for our sins (including yours personally) and rose again, and now sits with the Father !

I'm wondering what type of demonic activity your suffering from so we all can pray with you against?

Anybody with the Holy Spirit can lay hands on you and you recover or even yourself ( BUT sometimes it takes many times of getting hands laid on you). ( Mark 16:18 )

I know man says allot of things. But.. when Christ sets you free. When Yeshua/Jesus becomes lord.. there is no demon no "left overs" from anything. What is written? "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Now.. this is NOT based on how you feel see hear. ALL not some not only part but ALL things become new. You are set free. Satan just lies. You resist him and he HAS TO feel. Every time this thought pops up.. you speak HIS WORD! Rev 3:20...God does NOT EVER share this temple.

Again.. what is written? He gave you ..YOU all not some not just a part..but ALL POWER over the enemy and NOTHING.. not maybe not might..but NOTHING shall by ANY MEANS what means? ANY MEANS hurt you. Jesus that said only what the Father said.. great is HE that is in you then he thats in the world.

The mind.. is his play ground. No matter what what you feel hear or see.. walk by faith. Fear.. you say NO..God has not given me the spirit of fear. What EVER it is.. find what the WORD says and speak His word. Learn that GOD can NOT LIE!

So.. if satan can only lie.. the flip that lie ...haha.. JESUS a GOD is IN YOU! Sorry.. what can the enemy do? You have.. given to you.. exactly the same as Peter and John at the gate.. what I have give I unto you. Its FAITH in that name!. He is IN YOU! So rejoice.. dont go by how you feel. Feelings are up and down all over the place. Walk by faith.. Take GOD at HIS word. HE cant lie.

I do not yet fully understand how......
but my future wife was told to fast and pray for me for 35 days and she did it.........
For four weeks, for three days / week.... she drank only fruit juices and Messiah Yeshua -Jesus woke her up and told her to pray for me........
for the fifth week, seven days in a row like this.... only fruit juices.......

I was 3000 miles north, north east of her basking in the most astonishing Shalom / peace of mind that I had ever experienced..... but especially in a decade.... I had been a mess since 1990 when I volunteered for something that I knew would NOT be a piece of cake............

For the record this discussion was with Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander.... a retired Sanhedrin Rabbi.........

Look him up if you are in Jerusalem.... and let him know that Crazy Tate...... has not given up on what I started 27 years ago.........

Yes, I believe people who know me, would feel that I specialize in "Casting out demons." However, my only goal in life is to fully please my Heavenly Father at all times. I attempt to fully please my Heavenly Father by Boldly, Passionately, and Relentlessly pursuing and doing His will, and that also entails casting out demons.

Just say something like, "In the name of Christ Jesus, the Son of God, any spirit trying to affect me, other than the Holy Spirit of God, must leave. You are not welcome in my life. Whatever I may have done or said that would give you permission to be here, I now revoke in the name of Jesus. I bind you and cast you out and command you to go to the feet of Jesus. You cannot stay, and you cannot pass your assignment on to any other spirit. Be gone in the name of Christ Jesus." You say it, loud or soft, until you can tell you've been freed.

There may be whispers of the same old thoughts sometimes after that, but you can say, "Nope. You are gone in Christ's name." and walk away from it. Whenever a negative thought pops up again, correct your thought. I.E. if you get the thought "You'll never be good enough," You need to say, "That is a lie. I have the righteousness of Jesus Christ." Memorize a scripture that you can use against the negative thoughts. "He (or she) whom the Son sets free is free indeed."

I generally get all my information from scripture, and scripture alone. Man generally puts their own spin on things, and I always like going directly to the source, so to speak. I've been a Spirit-filled pastor for years, and while I cannot claim to "cast out thousands," I do operate in all the gifts, and casting out demons is something we all have the power to do.

"The Triumphant Church" by Kenneth E. Hagin

It teaches about the origin and operation of demons, our authority over them, spiritual warfare, strongholds and the wisdom of God in dealing with the enemy.

Why not go to your pastor? A special deliverance minister is not needed to take authority over demonic spirits or influences. You can do it yourself if you understand your authority, or your pastor or another strong believer could help you.

Read "The Bondage Breaker" by Neil Anderson. You can get it from Amazon, or download it as a free pdf after locating it on Google. It is the best study on how to gain your freedom in the privacy of your own prayer room, or in conjunction with a supportive friend.

You can free yourself from demons.
It’s not you who frees demons, it’s the word of God and the name of Jesus who demons have to obey.
Free yourself in Jesus Christ name amen.
You need to be specific when casting out demons, for instance, casting out a demon of depression is done by telling the demon of depression to leave in the name of Jesus, but that demon could I dwell within you because of the demon of mental abuse, or the demon of self pity.
Demons travel in gangs.
The same way the demon of lust could be expelled but the demon that brought him to you could be the demon of sexual abuse or inappropriate contentography.
The demon of addiction could be brought in by the demon of dependency.
And casting out a particular demon, doesn’t necessarily mean you are free from the influences of demons.

I have had to go massive self-deliverance this year (past in witchcraft, terrible childhood, lots of issues from my past), and I have learnt very much from it. And I know Christ and Scripture really well, which really is all you need to know.

I would love to help you, and I do believe I could do deliverance on you, but I believe that I could be of more help offering support as you go through it yourself with Christ. Deliverance is not just casting out demons, but it's filling your mind with God's Truth and growing closer to Christ, because He overcomes it for us. So I personally believe it's not something you should do quickly, because it takes time to overcome your sins. Otherwise, they'll just come back.

You can do self-deliverance through repentance and godly sorrow. You must turn away from the sin addictions first. Also, you'll want to decree and speak life over yourself. If you have anything you haven't confessed to God, you would want to confess whatever is violating your conscience, and some sins must be confessed to someone else, in order to receive healing and deliverance in that area. God has set it up like that. (James 5:16)

'Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you' James 4:7-10

You are a new creation in Christ, demons do not carry over through water Baptism if it was done properly (like not done by people who are grossly engaged in sin addictions themselves or if the baptismal pool is used to baptize homosexuals etc...I'm not kidding).

The blood of Christ is sufficient to sanctify and make you entirely holy, we just need to repent and walk in the newness of life that He paid for. If you feel like it would soothe your conscience, you might it beneficial to seek deliverance from a brother or sister...in that case, I hope there's someone near you who can do that for you.

Unconfessed sin is the primary cause of demonic oppression etc...you can do everything yourself, with God if you read His word and pray with Him. I hope this helps, like I mentioned...some things need to be confessed to a trusted brother or sister in the faith.

I have been casting demons out of Christians since the mid 70s. I have also done much self deliverance over the years.

When someone first becomes a believer, its a bit like the Israelites crossing the Red Sea and entering the land. They started off with a big push, and then as they grew stronger over the years they drove more of the old inhabitants out.

The same with me. My conversion to Christ brought a great initial deliverance, but as I grew in the Lord, I realised there were inhabitants in my land, or "hangers on" as you put it.

I knew what some of the demons were because of the effects, others I couldn't identify till much later as the deliverance developed.​

There were areas in my life which were a real struggle, and no matter how I tried to do what was right, I always failed. Then at some stage as I was casting demons out of others, I realised I needed to do some more rooting out in my own life.
That has been one of the most valuable lessons I have had as a Christian. I always encourage others to do it.

The result of self deliverance has been a far more peaceable life. The things that beset me before are no longer there. Life in those areas is no longer a daily struggle because those particular enemies have been taken out long ago.

So yes, you can self deliver. It is something all Christians should do.
And please take no notice of those who harp on about Christians not being able to have demons. The world is full of believers who will testify against that.

Why would unbelievers want or ask for deliverance? If unbelievers don't want it and the church says it can't be for the believers, then Jesus must have been misinformed!
