Would the Jews in the first advent have reacted differently (accepted)
a Messiah who dropped out of the sky as opposed to born as a Judean resident like them?
Basically they could not just come to grips with the fact that someone born in the local Judea of common Jewish parentage could be God in flesh Christ. I mean for one of their fellow Jews to be God's very image Hebrews 1 was quite difficult to take in.
It was difficult to accept one of their common kinsmen as deity,
Perhaps they would have reacted differently to someone who dropped from space as opposed to their fellow citizen born as they were in Judea.
Taking a look at our society today, would we react differently to a similar situation? Some blame the Jews for denying him but how would Christians on Earth today handle a similar interaction between Jesus as a fellow kinsman , as God in flesh but as a regular fellow as Jesus/was-is?
Another question- Could you imagine someone amidst us as Christ (as Jesus lived amidst his kinsmen) who would have the heart to burn say 2 billions humans (assuming that number of sinners) in a lake of fire (Hell) forever as in Revelation 20.
In other words could you imagine a fellow kinsman (Christ) , one you knew personally who happened later to be Christ , and imagine this one known to you formerly as a regular person, carrying out the Hell burning judgement sentence?
Lets assume for this question that Hell would involve eternal burning torment.
Quite a challenging thought.
