Today I faced a dilemma; whether to address global warming, starvation in Africa, the tyranny of Donald Trump, or to cover my woodpile (the wind had torn the plastic). I agonized over it for a few moments...then got out my stapler. ^_^

Now that youre done with the woodpile you can address whatever you want to address.

Unfortunately for the rest of mankind I have a long list of such mundane tasks that need my attention. However, none require the same immediate attention as my woodpile.

I'm going build a better shelter this summer.
I'm getting to that age too where I probably wont see any of the major social and environmental consequences of our choices.

Its freeing! You deal with it, young people! I'm out.

Excellent choice. That reminds me of Candide. At the very end of the novel, Professor Pangloss is expounding a philosophic discourse on how all events must necessarily be for the best. Candide ignores it. He says “All that is well and good. But now we must cultivate our garden.”

I recently found out that my son has a huge student loan debt that will sink his future if not resolved. I couldn't provide much when my kids were small but now I can and will be helping him with this debt.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. But bless you for helping him!

There's more to the story, and I fear that he will default, which will get him into more trouble.
