I am doing research and trying to find out if Hollywood portrayed Pharaoh dying in the Red Sea in the movie, the Ten Commandments. Is the scene of he and his dead son before or after his army drowned? My VCR ruined the video tape and my computer is too slow to watch a video. Please help!
Pharoah stayed at the edge of the shore and ordered his men forward
and watched them swallowed up by the sea in the MOVIE.

Famous lines...
Oh Moses..Moses....

Where's your Moses now...

So let it is written, so let it be done...

Yea, that's how the movie portrayed it...but Scripture says -

For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.<-----> Exodus 15:19

And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea. <-----> Exodus 15:21

And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. <-----> Exodus 14:28

To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endures for ever:
And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endures for ever:
But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endures for ever.
<-----> Psalm 136:13-15

Which appears to indicate that Pharaoh drowned along with his army.
