There are many who believe Christ has done away with the law. Now if this is true, does God bless what he previously cursed? Let us take a look at a few scriptures of the law that God has cursed and see if it is okay to do these things now.
Deuteronomy 27:15
[15]Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
Is this done away with now? Can we make an graven image and put it in a secret place?
Deuteronomy 27:16
[16]Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Setteth light means to treat with contempt, dishonour, or disgrace. Is this acceptable now?
Deuteronomy 27:17
[17]Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Is it okay now to remove your neighbors border or territory?
Deuteronomy 27:18
[18]Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.
When it says to make the blind wander it means to make them go astray, cause them to err. Now is this okay to do? Did Christ nail this law to the cross?
Deuteronomy 27:20-21
[20]Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.
[21]Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Are these okay to do since Christ nailed the law to the cross?
Deuteronomy 27:22-25
[22]Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
[23]Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
[24]Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
[25]Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Can we say yes these things are okay to do this side of the cross? Last but not least:
Deuteronomy 27:26
[26]Cursed be he that confirmeth (continue, establish, confirm) not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
There is a curse upon the people if they do not all the things of the law. This side of the cross does not change what God has cursed. Rather thus saith the Lord:
Psalms 119:1
[1]ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
Please read Psalms 119. This is the longest chapter in the bible and the one most often neglected. What are your thoughts? Peace and Blessings.
