I'm sure that at this point you're just trying to cope with how different Philip's life is going to be from what you'd planned.

That is sort of what I was going to say. Eleanor was my first, and with no warning we have been dealing with health problems for 4 1/2 years. I don't even mean to come close to saying that I am coming from the same place you are in, everyone's reality is unique. I don't know you but I am usually a fairly positive, let's deal-with-it kind of person. Other than saying it directly I don't know what else to say but this mourn your loss. No matter what the future holds for your family, I think that you need to allow yourself the grief over what you thought your reality was going to be. Then move on to what a great new reality you can make for your son. Phillip is still the baby you kissed and loved before this news. Vanessa
