Yes there is one racist cop in US police force. Nothing to see here and no that one cop probably statistically does not affect your neighborhood cops.

“a total of 704,077 officers with powers of arrest in 2018.”

Over 700000 officers, of course there are more racist cops than one.

But sure let’s pretend there is only one cop who hates black people. Does it matter ? Something is ok because it is only done by one cop that probably does not affect you ?

It is still wrong, unprofessional and your citizenry deserves better.

There have been several different studies concluding this.

There was another one (in a laboratory setting, though) that showed that white officers with a black suspect were less likely to shoot.

There is a bit of historical load on subjugation and brutalizing black people.
