There is no job crunch, there is a "I don't want to pay, promote, or train people" crunch.

It's all about the changing demographics and technology. For some reason, Americans are (politically) all worried about manufacturing jobs going overseas. hate to tell you but that isn't the problem. Many of those jobs are obsolete or require special skills. And service jobs are going away as well. Just wait until Amazon gets robotic step-and-fetchers at their distribution centers.

Health care is hot due to simple demographics: old people. The average registered Nurse is over age forty. The average age of a psychiatrist is 60. Do the math.
