"Someone else"? It's Joe who is considered to be the victim, isn't he? He's the one running for president, and that's the reason any investigation of him is being considered to be a way of influencing the 2020 election.

Apparently you do not understand the issue for why Trump is being investigated? If Trump had hired a third party to go investigate Biden no one would of cared. The issue is his attempt to use the office to pressure an foreign government to announce an investigation that he could use to smear his opponent.

Then to "smear his opponent" (to use your words) by hiring a third party would have been ok?

We'll find out as soon as the dems allow the investigation into Biden to go forward rather than continuing to distract everyone's time attention away from him.

Is there something stopping the Senate Republicans from investigating him?

Or the Republican-led DOJ? Man, I kind of wish the Dems were as powerful as some credit them as being.

Yes. If Trump had worked some angle as a private citizen nothing would of come of this. In point of fact it would of been considered a normal election stratagem.

The GOP seems totally disingenuous to me. It seems quite obvious that our president invited foreign influence and used funds as leverage as well as obstructed congress. O well. Such a sad state of the Union.
