Just another example of conservative "entitlement" - by 2050 "visible minorities" will be constitute the major of voters in America and the "white" minority should be praying that they will be treated better than how they treated "non-whites" over the past 400 years!
And if I live to be as old as my father was, I will mercifully be dead. In fact, with the shape my body is in, I may beat his age to the grave yet---and that's fine with me. I'm not afraid to die, but I do find the prospect of having to live in the type of left-wing liberal la-la land being proposed to be exquisitely distasteful. Good luck to the rest of you, though. You'll need it.
and if you misdirect about something unrelated and trivial like grammar you don't actually have to respond to the points made
Less that than it is recognizing an exercise in futility when I see one. I have dealt with rabid lefties for years----decades. When you encounter attitudes which approach the level of belligerence and hostility that's been heaped upon my head for the last several posts in this thread, there is little to gain by continuing the conversation.
Progressivism is a sort of fundamentalistic religion, actually; it makes no difference what proof, facts, or even opinions may be presented, the response will always be the same, and that's because the adherents of the religion are always absolutely certain beyond any shadow of doubt that they are always right. The thought that they might possibly be wrong in even the smallest particular---or, heaven forbid, that they might even be setting themselves up for a self-constructed disaster that they may painfully regret later on---never enters their heads.
So, continuing to try to discuss the topic is fruitless. It is a waste of time to try pointing out to someone that the sky is blue when they are utterly convinced that it's green. It's like evolutionary geology: any data which comes in that fits the theory is accepted wholesale, without question. Any data coming in that doesn't fit the Standard Template is rejected as fantasy. "This cannot be true, because we
know that X, Y, and Z." But what if the new evidence indicates that X, Y, and Z may be in need to revision, or perhaps even outright replacement? "Impossible. The new evidence is obviously wrong, because we
know that X, Y, and Z." And the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.
I was looking for discussion, but instead what I got was abuse because I dared to express a heretical viewpoint, one which did not march in unswerving lockstep with the State Organs For Propaganda---CNN, ABC, MSNBC, etc., etc., etc., etc.,
ad infinitum et nauseam et absurdum.
Ah, well. It's my own fault. I should have known better. I come down here into the current events forum around every five to ten years or so, thinking it might have changed, but it never does. (shrug) So, I will take my leave at this point, and leave you chosen people to the purity and certainty of your convictions. I hope they work out for you. Again: good luck. You'll need it.
Adieu.
