All I've seen President Trump put froward is the evidence from survivors and experts...not a claim of discovery of HCQ+...only that it's showing positive results...very positive results.

Lastly, he speaks about how this decision is between the doctor and family. It's not the only treatment he has spoken about.

The briefings also speak of other possible treatments, but to many in the media want to wait for the years of testing to happen before any of it can be spoken about. Even without Trump speaking about this drug? Families would be asking the medical teams for possible treatments to help their family member when they find them in trouble. I never did quite understand if a person was in such bad shape they were not allowed the right to try something in a desperate circumstance. Other countries do this, and I'm glad it has changed.

The Chinese started clinical trials for choroquine - CQ and hydroxychloroquine - HCQ in February.

I was agreeing with part of what you said. Trump never claimed to discover anything. Nope, he sure didn't. He quoted the France study among others.
