While His ‘burden is light’, I thought to mention an overview concerning not just Church protocol, but our day-to-day lives. For it’s no secret, the overzealous can exert themselves right out of profit and or fellowship by being, quite honestly – annoying (ref:‘contenteous’). But the flipside of that can carry the same outcome as shown here. So, mindful of these pitfalls, how else but to first be subject to one another, then, within this unity observing God’s grace that causes productive growth in one’s life?
It is therefore a ‘common’ earnestness that yields an everfresh, everready fruit.
Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ, , these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 1:3,4,10-13)
