This verse in Joel 3 especially caught my eye.
14- Multitudes, multitudes
in the valley of decision!
For the day of the Lord is near
in the valley of decision.

People need to decide and for that to happen they have to be informed.
And I believe that is where the role of God’s children comes in.
The Lord sent people to inform others to decide from the days of Moses to the glorious day of the Messiah. The Lord commissions us therefore to make disciples of every nation. To inform them of the day of the Lord.

It is amazing how many people are on the internet today. I wonder what it would have been like to take the gospel to the end of the world before airplanes were invented.

It's important to remember, imo, that Jesus didn't send us out to debate what the other person wishes to discuss... nor to talk to them about anything other than the GOSPEL: that Jesus died to save them from their sin. THE ONLY thing we can evangelize with is God's Word and the beginning is : Who do you think Jesus is? God's love, embodied in Jesus through the Holy Spirit will convict them. We just need to tell them about Jesus and His Love gift of salvation. Anything else is spurious chatter.
