2 Peter 1:19:

"And we have furthermore a certain Word of Prophecy; and you do well if you look to it as to a light that shines in a dark place until the day will dawn and the sun will arise in your hearts."

Some English translations insert "day star" here which is a reference to Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-17) as the light-bearer. In 2nd Peter 1:19, the word used in that passage is not supposed to be "morning star".

Andrew Gabriel Roth, then footnotes this passage and says the following:
Malachi 4:2.

It is just as pertinent as in making a point as the OP. The OP is apparently afraid to or unable to take a stand and complete whatever they were trying to say. There is no conclusion or proposition or posing question(s.) What the OP does is state assumed (several points assumed have no concrete verification or established givens without taking any stand or asking any questions about the given factors. Is the OP trying to start a debate over what translation of the Bible is more accurate or what qualifies as prophecy or who is the real intended "morning star" (See: Aren't Jesus and Satan both referred to as the morning star? | TrueLife.org) or are they trying to invalidate any English translation or are they trying to say that satan and Jesus are the same entity or.....? It is starting a thread telling everyone that their translation says something and then quoting a mere commentary from another Bible then stating some unsubstantiated assumptions and following it up with NOTHING. They just drop it and run. How disrespectful of our time and energy.
