How do you know if the Lord told them anything? D&C 130 deals with doctrine. When that becomes inconvenient it is no longer doctrine. Mormons wanted statehood so they kowtowed to the U.S. government. They haven't done away with polygany in the CK.

In 1890, when it became clear that Utah would not be admitted to the Union while polygamy was still the practice, church president Wilford Woodruff issued a Manifesto that officially terminated the practice of polygamy.[6] Although this Manifesto did not dissolve existing plural marriages, relations with the United States markedly improved after 1890, such that Utah was admitted as a U.S. state in 1896. After the Manifesto, some Mormons continued to enter into polygamous marriages, but these eventually stopped in 1904 when church president Joseph F. Smith disavowed polygamy before Congress and issued a "Second Manifesto", calling for all plural marriages in the church to cease and established excommunication as the consequence for those who disobeyed.

Modern plural marriage theory within the LDS Church
Although the LDS Church has abandoned the practice of plural marriage, it has not abandoned the underlying doctrines of polygamy. According to the church's sacred texts and pronouncements by its leaders and theologians, the church leaves open the possibility that it may one day re-institute the practice. It is still the practice of monogamous Mormon couples to be sealed to one another. However, in some circumstances, men and women may be sealed to multiple spouses. Most commonly, a man may be sealed to multiple wives: if his first wife dies, he may be sealed to a second wife. A deceased woman may also be sealed to multiple men, but only through vicarious sealing if they are also deceased.[70]

There were many reasons the Lord ended plural marriage. One option opened to the church was to move to a place where the law allowed plural marriage. Mexico. But that option was not approved of by the Lord and was abandoned. It was decided that the church needed to remain in the US, so it had to live the law of land in which it dwelled. So it was decided to end plural marriage and be accepted into statehood which would stop the church from being dismantled by the federal government.

Statehood changed everything. It was a bright day for the church. So the Lord knew best and we followed his council.

No, the Lord told us to live the laws of the land in peace with the government that he set up in America.

The practice of plural marriage had accomplished what it was set up to accomplish and so rather than fight the federal government with arms, or move the church to Mexico or Hawaii, the Lord told our prophet to end plural marriage. And so we eventually did completely.

It is evil to lead people astray which Mormonism does. Mormonism is evil and accursed. There aren't multiple Gods and the temple in Jerusalem wasn't a place for what takes place in every Mormon temple.
