Dan Burke

Is anyone on here familiar with him? He's speaking at my parish next month and I was brought in on a team back in November to help promote the seminar and sell tickets. All I really know about him is the stuff that's printed on the mailers we've been handing out after Mass (he's the editor for the National Catholic Register, founded the Avila Institute, and has published a bunch of books including 2012's top-selling Catholic book Into the Deep).

I've never read any of his stuff so I don't know how he stacks up. I assume because of his affiliations and because he's coming to my parish that he's pretty orthodox, but I don't know.

Has anyone here ever heard him speak or read any of his books?
