If, you are-using Internet Explorer
Right-Click, on the picture you wish to display
and choose 'PROPERTIES' from the menu

In the 'window' that appears
look for the image's 'ADDRESS / URL'
~it begins :- http://

Double-Click the address to HIGHLIGHT IT
Right-Click the 'highlighted address' and choose 'COPY' from the menu

NEXT

go to where you want to post the image
now, type [/B][/COLOR]
hold down the '[B]Ctrl[/B]' key [bottom row of keyboard] and tap on the '[B]V[/B]' key
to paste the 'address' from your clipboard
and type :-[COLOR=Blue] [B] <immediately afterwards
so that it appears like this >>

^^^^^^ I deliberately INCLUDED SPACES, so the picture did not show^^^^^^

YIPEE, it finally worked, for some reason, the first picture must have had some weird codes, I could not post it, but this cute one worked.

I'm trying an experiment here, not sure this is going to work for a couple of different reasons. Last time I tried this, I "sourced" from the photos I had at MyOpera. MyOpera is now "dead" so I've moved my photos to 2liv3. I wonder if this will post huge, like the ones at MyOpera did, or if it will post in sane limits, or if it will post at all. 2liv3 doesn't do "sharing" as well as I'd like so I may have to move my photos elsewhere.

OK. For one reason or another, the response seems to be "how about no". OK, I'm not sure if it's on this end or on 2liv3's end, but-- nocan post. I'm using Firefox.

If so, then try to post an image in the message below
Deleting an extra large image is as simple as clicking the 'Edit' button below the post
although you may well have-to drag the bottom scrollbar to find it

I can show you HOW TO, edit image-sizes ~to 950 pixels wide
[this gives small space either side of your picture ~in a normal window here in CF]

I'm using Firefox and have for some time now

Skydrive allows 7Gbs storage for each hotmail account... displaying links from there to here are reliable


I am in process of learning Ubuntu [Linux type O/S]
in preparation for leaving Windows XP

I do expect to be able to retrieve my files stored via windows

That last line explains a lot. 2liv3 is very difficult to live with, for the reasons you just mentioned I am considering other alternatives.

I've resisted making a Facebook account because of a number of trust issues. I may have to change my mind on that later, the blog that I have on Wordpress seems to want it for publicity purposes.

About changing the photo size: I have Photoshop Elements here, so changing the size before posting is easy enough. I just need a place to park my photos where I can use them-- and 2liv3 is found wanting in that department.

Yup, I LOST my Dell Inspiron to dodgy games on Facebook
and several years later, I managed to recover it

I also managed to PROOF it against 'similar attacks'
My biggest hurdle is UP and Coming..... ~the retirement of XP

If you have a HOTMAIL a/c [or two] or three (as I have)
you can have 7, 14 or 21 Gigabytes of FREE memory space
for your files and photos [7 Gbs per hotmail account]

I got in at a time when 25 Gbs was allowed [per a/c]
and I appear to still have that capacity in two of them

If you ONLY 'use' one email account ...
merely FORWARDING a few emails to the others each month
and, DELETING from them in the following month
is sufficient to maintain those 'extra-accounts'


Just, using what is available, ~all rules fulfilled
