We have one of the most right-wing Supreme Courts in history, and they don't see fit to end it. The republicans had control of all three wings of the government and did nothing about it. Do you think people don't know that?
Nothing is free. As Bernie pointed out, nations with national health care still pay for it. They just pay a lot less than we do. And most of them have better care than we do.
I notice what Obama did during his administration looks nothing like that. So I'm pretty sure the hysteria isn't a rational assessment.

Meh. While I sort of agree that they shouldn't have removed the flag, it's sort of a non-issue in the long run. To be honest, I'm more concerned that the facility had a Blue Lives Matter flag flying. No government facility should be displaying a flag associated with a particular political movement, and yes I think that applies to the rainbow flag as well, even if it's not the same thing.
In Ohio, during a gay pride parade a rainbow flag was raised at the state Capitol for the event. A Christan man who believes homosexuality is a sin took it down. He was taken to court for it and Governor Bob Taft subsequently signed an executive order that only American and Ohio flags can fly on Statehouse grounds. I never liked Taft, who is a Republican, but totally agreed with that decision.
Being a cop is something somebody chooses to do. Being LGBT is not. And Blue Lives Matter only became a thing in response to Black Lives Matter.
They did for attention, and they got it. Most of the immigrants in question aren't from Mexico anyway. They are from other countries within that region. Notice they didn't fly that flag to represent them. LOL Do what you will with that reality.
Going onto government property and defacing things is dumb, unless you are ready to face the legal consequences. It was a show of disrespect, and yes it does show as they complain about the administration's behavior their behavior isn't any better. That's why most don't take them seriously. You don't have to be on one side or the other in regards to that fact.
If people were truly serious about fixing this issue? They would stop with the name calling, and the 'us against them' stuff and demand solutions. The media and politicians have everyone so wound up, and they are using it to their advantage, and you can clearly see who the ones that 'don't care' really are. You don't complain about it, and stir up the drama...and then sit on your hands. Congress is the ones that make the laws to fix this, and until they are good and ready to do something? This will continue, and you have to ask yourself what advantage it is for them to do just that. They aren't helpless, and their hands aren't tied.
