Crucifix? Cross? What about Easter?

Since being confirmed, I have begun wearing a crucifix. Usually under my shirt, next to my skin. And near my heart.

But Easter is coming, and I'm feeling kinda funny about wearing a crucifix ON Easter, and during the Easter season.

For those Lutherans out there who wear a crucifix, do you change during Easter? This is really starting to make me wonder what I should do.

I typically prefer a cross over a crucifix but I can appreciate your sentiment particularly at Easter time.

Or you could change to a Christ the King crucifix or a Christ Triumphant crucifix.

An empty cross is abstract. Like an idea couched in general terms. A crucifix is specific; it tell you that the cross of Christ is the message you want to display.

I would remove the Crucifix on Easter for the symbolism, and instead wear a generic, empty Cross, symbolizing Christ's victory. I do not believe it to be a problem to wear the Crucifix on Easter if you so choose, however.
