Roughly true, I'd say, given the idea of projection. "You are as corrupt as you think they are."A good rule of thumb when making assumptions about the rest of humanity:
They are EXACTLY as corrupt as you.

wow. Must be truly, amazing. And I'm guessing that probably adds to why you wouldn't trust doctors so quickly.I do not go to the doctor so really i can not voice an opinion. I went about 3 years ago to the local orthopedic doctor to repair a torn distal bicep tendon. that has been about it. I take my mom (92) every few months to the general practitioner just for her check up.
Here's Texas. 99.5% of Covid deaths since February are among the unvaccinated: Texas has seen nearly 9,000 COVID-19 deaths since February. All but 43 were unvaccinated people.Which particular subset of the UK data do you want reviewed?

With regards to vaccinated vs. unvaccinated (IE: breakthroughs)
DEFINE_ME
The Lancet has a large peer reviewed study on the matter
However, CBS gives a more concise breakdown for those who don't feel like reading through
Study finds low rate of COVID-19 "breakthrough" infections, fewer symptoms in vaccinated people - CBS News
In a separate report, found here
Covid-19 Study in England Shows Few Deaths Among Vaccinated People
640 coronavirus deaths in the first half of 2021 among people who had received two shots and more than 50,000 among those who hadn’t
The rates of deaths between vaccinated and unvaccinated show a similar disparity much like my state of Ohio did.

Both are almost in the exact same ball park, with a ratio of roughly 78:1 where for every 1 vaccinated breakthrough death, there are 78 deaths among unvaccinated.
Here's Texas. 99.5% of Covid deaths since February are among the unvaccinated: Texas has seen nearly 9,000 COVID-19 deaths since February. All but 43 were unvaccinated people.
Rather just the opposite. By NOT taking the vaccine, it is more likely some kind of vaccine passport or proof of vaccination would occur simply because COVID and it's many variants are still around. If you DID take the vaccine, you would be helping to diminish or eradicate the virus and, therefore, eliminate the need for any vaccine passport. If I take a vaccination, then I will facilitate the imposition of vaccine passports, as it's not a workable system for controlling the population unless the vast majority of the population voluntarily enter the system by taking tests, accepting vaccinations, and giving their money to venues that require a vaccine passport.

I've been in the hospital like (I'm counting ermgency here...), 3 or 4 times in that last two years.....it's been ridiculous actually: broken ankle needing surgery (slip on ice....TERRIBLE fall); kidney stones, mononucleosis.
I have several lingering health issues; most surrounding my thyroid (since irradiated) and liver. I see my doctor quasi-frequently. He is excellent and I absolutely trust his diagnoses. Perhaps I'm actually lucky because my sister had been to several doctors and specialists for leg pain (diagnosed as "Compartment syndrome). EVen underwent 4 surgeries until, by TOTAL LUCK she went to see my doctor (same clinic but different doctors) and my doctor diagnosed her with MS. Sad because it's basically untreatable but at least she knows.
Needless to say, if MY doctor says wear a mask get vaxxed and be smart, I ABSOLUTELY trust it (actually, even if he got behind ivermectin I would likely be swayed). BUT at this point, he is NOT convinced, and so I trust him there too.
Here's a novel idea: Talk to your doctor.
One more time for those of you in the cheap seats:
Talk. To. YOUR. Doctor.
The doctor you go to for your annual checkup. The doctor who prescribes your blood pressure pills. The doctor you brought your daughter to when she had that rash on her arm.
Rather than trying to earn yourself a medical degree via Google, or scouring Youtube for videos confirming your suspicions, how about you go to the person you've already trusted in the past with the health and well-being of your family?
That's one of the big issues with this, I personally know of people who've scrapped their regular doctor (of many years) specifically because their doctor refused to placate their anti-vaccine sentiments, and now have found "alternative medicine" practitioners who they're calling their "main doctor".
I've mentioned this in the past, but my dad's side of the family (who you'd think would've learned their lesson when my dad died of cancer in April, because his 'naturopathic doctor' was trying to treat his metastatic melanoma with colloidal silver and ginseng) are deeply rooted in various forms of quackery.
Half of that side of the family have written off their regular GPs over the last 2 years because "they're a bunch of pill pushers and pharma shills" (their words, not mine) and instead started treating their chiropractors and 'holistic doctors' as their "main doctors" simply because the charlatans are willing to repeat their opinions back to them.
My one uncle stopped seeing his GP (who was also helping to manage his high blood pressure) in favor of a naturopath, simply because his GP was telling him he was an "at-risk" person and should get the vaccine. He instead opted to go with the guy who was telling him "Just supplement with vitamin D, which you can incidentally buy right here in the store out front, and that'll protect you better than the vaccine will, and won't expose you to the toxins that are in the vaccine"
There are literally people out there that are choosing which kind of practitioner they want to work with, solely on the criteria of "is this person for or against the covid vaccine?"
Basically, if a person calls themselves "Doctor" (no matter how ridiculous the premise of their practice is) and is also against vaccines, anti-vaxxer types will start pretending that they're the smartest guys in the world.
The stupidity of it all is that likely would have worked best. Fauci is great and all but when it comes to MY health I will listen to my doctor 100%.Here's a novel idea: Talk to your doctor.

And if that Doctor tells you the vaccine is dangerous or unsafe, then we'll talk. OTOH, if they tell you you'll be fine... how about you listen to your doctor... again?
I already created a thread based on technical briefing number 18. They are now on technical briefing number 22. However, if you wait about another 12-24 hours then technical briefing 23 will probably be released, as I think they are published on alternate Fridays before the end of the day. In my opinion, the data suggests that the vaccines don't have much impact, as unvaccinated people are not highly over represented in terms of number of deaths.Which particular subset of the UK data do you want reviewed?

That's hardly surprising, as Trump voters are likely to be older than the average population, and age is a well known covid risk factor. Here is a very very important chart that Republicans SHOULD heed. I don't really care about your policies if you get vaxxed.
Tell you what, I'll give you virtual high 5.
I mean it's nothing but great news for democrats, so long as survivors don't come out the other side crazier
A good rule of thumb when making assumptions about the rest of humanity:

Does that mean that Republicans should OR should not be messaging that their supporters should be getting vaccinated and making more proactive choices about their health? That's hardly surprising, as Trump voters are likely to be older than the average population, and age is a well known covid risk factor.
Totally agree. One of the reasons for not getting vaxxed from someone I know was because it was not FDA approved and for emergency use only. This same person has 8-10 bottles of various "naturopathic" supplements on their counter, which ironically, are NOT FDA approved and have the typical disclaimer that the FDA has not evaluated any of the claims made on the bottles. That's one of the big issues with this, I personally know of people who've scrapped their regular doctor (of many years) specifically because their doctor refused to placate their anti-vaccine sentiments, and now have found "alternative medicine" practitioners who they're calling their "main doctor".

Buddy of mine had someone constantly complaining about govt. intervention. Vaccine won't work. Every excuse.Totally agree.
