If a video of them being peaceful isn't proof they're being peaceful, while your claim (with no evidence whatsoever) that they're not being peaceful is sufficient for you, then perhaps you should re-evaluate what you actually want. You clearly don't want proof.
That's what I'm thinking. All you have to do is look at the livestreams to see what a peaceful protest is about. Complaints about horns blaring and traffic being blocked isn't violent. It's a traffic violation. Protests do push the limits of the law, and cause disruption.
They had one lane open for emergency vehicles. Protestors shoveled the snow, handled the trash, fed the homeless, filled the food banks, and when they food banks said they couldn't take anymore? They moved to sites outside the Ottawa area to help those food banks. I mean WOW such wicked people.
People were arrested for not leaving - not obscene comments and threats. Do they have video of that? I haven't seen it. Did Archivist link to the evidence and proof that Archivist requested from others? I didn't see that either.
I have seen video of the police taking the grip part of their 'assault' weapons and beating a man. There is another one in which the man was inside the police car, and they - the police - were punching him. I saw a video of people singing their National Anthem - and they got pepper sprayed for their trouble. Thankfully, the rumor mill was wrong about the lady dying...but she was indeed hurt. I guess her mobility scooter couldn't go fast enough for the horses. That's okay the Police Chief claimed it was bike that was thrown at the horse, and all parties walked away. Yet, they didn't. They had a short video of the lady, and she isn't looking to hot. Since she was having issues sitting up? I find it hard to believe she 'walked' away as the Chief claims. Maybe he can show his police cameras to show how it happened? They won't.
The Truck Protest went on for 3 weeks all the while government mouthpieces claiming they were afraid of violence...yet there wasn't any. WAIT! Well until the police showed up with batons, pepper spray, horses and all the rest. The Convoy wanted a voice from government to listen to them, and they refused. They offered up a Covid plan to discuss or debate - which they all acknowledged receiving it and promptly ignored them. Decided that the group was a national security issue, and issued the emergency act instead of dialog.
I guess the parts of the convoy - along with new truckers are moving to Quebec Now. They inspired the world with convoy in many countries, and a large one is forming in the USA too. Funny how restrictions started to change once Canada's convoy started, and our government people knew it would also happen here. Hopefully, our government won't place people on ignore and call them names that Canada's PM did.
Quite frankly? All the truckers really need to do is park their trucks in their driveway, and all take a vacation at the same time. Nothing illegal about that.
