I wasn’t sure where to post this so I just posted here. I’m 20, i’d say i’m a christian although i’ve only recently started to really talk to god more and place my faith in him and jesus. I may even start going to church with my mother and brother. I do want to. My dog recently had a mass in his throat. the vet thought it was cancer and referred us to a specialist. now, he’s a 7 year old male dog, the common demonimantors for throat cancer. he’s a golden, even more prone to cancer, and one of his litter mates died of throat cancer last year. this dog is my life and I don’t think i was prepared to handle the heartbreak of losing him. i prayed to god many times, crying, begging. I was 100% sure it was cancer. I then prayed to god and told him im fulling trusting you to take care of my dog I know you’ll help him i’m putting this in your hands. after that I started not worrying about it as much I don’t know why. today was my dogs appointment at the new vet. they went in to do a biopsy and the mass was gone. not a trace of it being there. I couldn’t believe it. could god have done this? could he really have saved my dog just for me? is he really that generous and loves me that much? I truly can’t belive it and thanked him so much. the vet was baffled and so was I. i’m eternally grateful to god for giving my best friend a second chance.

That which concerns you concerns God.
My dog had a small lump in her throat, the vet didn't know what it was. They could have found out for a few hundred dollars I didn't have.
So every day I put my hand on that lump and spoke healing over it.
In a week or so it was gone.

My dog went totally deaf, and the vet said there was nothing to do. Two weeks later, I cried as I sat with him at our lake, desperately praying. By the time we walked about 1,500 feet to the house, his hearing had completely returned. "Yes", I think God probably healed your dog.

I am very happy for you. Praise the Lord!

    Psalms 104:27-30
All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time.

When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.

When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.

When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, (Matthew 24:12, 1984 NIV)

It is getting more difficult to love others that we have no control over. I thank the Lord for our beloved pets through which He can stir love up in our hearts for Him and others.

With so much human need, sometimes God's love for all His creation is often overlooked. But God created everything in our universe and he loves it all. His love is everywhere.

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. (Colossians 1:16, 1984 NIV)

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12, 1984 NIV)

Jesus didn't just pay the sin debt for humans, but also for all of mankind's "land", that is, the earth. The redemption of our land was not just rocks and minerals—IMO—it included all the plants and animals.

One day your dog must die, but it is my belief you will see Him again. And even if it weren't automatic, our God who wants to give you whatever you want in this life will surely give you whatever you want in the next one (e.g., get your dog back). Martha believed that God would give Jesus whatever He asked for, including getting her dead brother back:

But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” (John 11:22, 1984 NIV)

In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. (John 16:23-26, 1984 NIV)

So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God. (1 Corinthians 3:21-23, 1984 NIV)

Your dog and the love you have for your dog is from God himself (1 John 4:8, 16), and you will get all of God and all His love when you die. Thank Him that He has saved you so you can get Him. :)

I had two cats I lost two years ago, and it hurt me inside for months to come! I still dream of them at night! I lost my wife not by death but she resides in a nursing home. But Jesus is still with me according to His Word! Jesus is also still with you!

That is a good story to read. There is a reason why this happened to you. Possibly to witness to others about God's love and understanding.
Some of us who had pets or related humans who were sick did not survive no matter how much praying was done by people. So consider your family blessed, and do keep trusting Him no matter the outcomes, even when they hurt us more than any imaginable torture known.

I thought of you when I heard this song, about trusting Jesus in the storm.
