Getting on board with Facebook might not be a bad idea since it has more followers than Jesus Christ at this point. From the OP article:

Most of my worries about it are already well known FB problems, I think, e.g. selling user info. Or, you have people putting their own info out there that makes them a target for some scammer. It says they're working on something for prayers requests. I can only imagine that disaster unfolding as Aunt June tells all of some poor soul's medical info. It's not really FB's problem, just people not thinking.
I think the more religious discourse there is in the open, the better. Let's hear who is using their religious platform for political purposes or to promote hate. Let's hear that stuff so we know the sources.
