• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

The only problem "the Church" will have is it's own congregants' actions. Actual followers of Christ will do fine.

Churches have historically used new technologies as they go. Some churches apparently don't bother passing the offering plate because all giving is via electronic transaction.

That's possible. However, these people are capable of picking the Gospel apart, talking it down at one point but also talking it up when that suits. We already see that coming from the same people.

For example, them lauding some part of the Gospel but simultaneously describing the Christians who uphold it in their daily lives as rubes, yokels, and of course, as hypocrites.

Churches already have some censorship in their religion. Catholics censor Protestant ideas and Protestans censor Catholics. Both censor SDA or JW or LDS ideas and they censor them back. The only exception is when they are using the other religions's ideas to prove why they are heretics.

Yes but how many censor all concepts of an outside God or His Kingdom. Up until now it has been advantageous for the world governments including those within Christianity to operate behind those concepts but soon the new world government will insist all eyes focus on self, self being the god of this world.

Yes, it is changing. They may try to charge pastors with hate speech for pro-life views or anti-LGBTQ rhetoric.

All roads lead to a final single destination. :)

Good for you. In continually seeking God we must be aware of our surroundings.

Well we have seen thanks to the internet how fringe minorities have taken control with cyber influence that shouldn't exist in the real world but now does.

Friendship with the world is enmity towards the LORD. Having the right enemies is a sign you are on track. You will be hated by all for My names sake Jesus told us and we have exited a short lived era that had a Christian world view and are now entering a time where a pre antichrist world view is ascending.

B: Lot's of people believe in God.
    S: About half the planet.
    B: That's a lot.
S: But how many religions are there?
B: Umm. Three major montheistic ones.
S: Exactly. And how many sects in Islam.
    B: Three? Maybe four.
S: And how many in Judaism.
    B: Three.
    S: Christianity?
B: Gee, I've lost count of the denominations.
S: And they all disagree with each other?
    B: Good grief, yes.
C: And even those within each denomination? Do they all agree?
B: No. Quite often they disagree on major matters.
    S: So...
    B: Ah. I see what you've done.
S: And why are we having this conversation? You don't even believe that I exist.
    B: Yeah. Wierd eh?

Indeed. Christians haven't always been the tolerant, decent people that @Albion imagines. In Calvinist Geneva, they burned Michael Servetus at the stake for simply questioning one of their pet doctrines, and they would occasionally gather around to beat a gay man to death while he was lashed across a wheel, breaking every bone in his body. And in Protestant Germany around the same time, witchhunts were common and tens of thousands of women were killed in a mindless moral panic and hysteria about fear of the devils under every rock and tree.

LOL. I haven't said anything like that, so I'd have to conclude that you are the one doing some heavy imagining here! ^_^

Go team Jesus. Excellent examples of sadistic souls finding a way to use Christianity serve their individual fetishes.
