You don't know your Bible and when I share it with you, you say, "Pure Calvinism."
Sunday is the Lord's day. There is no scripture stating that
Sunday is the Sabbath.
Romans 3
21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25Whom God hath set forth
to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26To declare,
I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
How could we be justified and freed from condemnation? Not on the basis of our works! We would have no righteous works except we are given faith in Christ and are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 3
27Where
is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29Is he the God of the Jews only?
is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30Seeing
it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Romans 4
1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath
whereof to glory; but not before God.
3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom
God imputeth righteousness without works,
7Saying, Blessed
are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8Blessed
is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
9Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision
only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which
he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which
he had being
yet uncircumcised.
Read the Bible and believe it! It is an awesome surety of God's mercy.
John 5 KJV
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 5 NIV
24 "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and
will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
John 3
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Why don't you believe God's word? Calvin didn't write it; why do you give Calvin credit?
2 Corinthians 5
1For we know that if our earthly house of
this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4For we that are in
this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing
is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6Therefore
we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7(For we walk by faith, not by sight)
8We are confident,
I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things
done in
his body, according to that he hath done, whether
it be good or bad.
Philippians 1
21For to me to live
is Christ, and to die
is gain.
22But if I live in the flesh, this
is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and
to be with Christ; which is far better: 24Nevertheless to abide in the flesh
is more needful for you.
25And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
Philippians 1
3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform
it until the day of Jesus Christ:

unreprovable in his sight:[/QUOTE]
You don't know your Bible and when I share it with you, you say, "Pure Calvinism."
You don't know your Bible either, and when I share it with you, you say "Pure Mormonism", and then ignore it.
My challenge to you has always been that I can reconcile all biblical scriptures to Mormonism, but you cannot reconcile all biblical scriptures to your faith.
For instance reconcile this scripture:
Mark 16:16King James Version (KJV)
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
You usually come back to me and focus on the last part of the scripture, and you say because it doesn't mention baptism there, it is not important. You are just throwing a blanket over the scripture and hope you never have to read it again, because in your belief, all you have to do is believe and then it is automatic to the finish line. This scripture throws a wrench in your automatic progression, because you actually have to do a good work and be physically baptized in water. How nasty must that be for you?
So please reconcile having to 1)believe and 2) be baptized to be saved. Thank you.
