Right you didn't negate the comment.

He said a country where there's a conservative party... you linked to a state.

Oh? A state political party isn't part of the political process in our "country?" Since I am both an American and someone who lives in a state with a Conservative party, I can most certainly consider myself a "little c conservative."

If he had meant a national conservative party, I would expect him to say so.

Even so:

Since you aren't from a country where there is a "Conservative Party" it doesn't make sense that you call yourself a little c conservative. Every conservative in America is a small c conservative, there is no official conservative party.

Conservative Party (Connecticut)

Welcome to the Conservative Party

In addition to state Conservative parties, there is

The American Conservative Party

And why does Yoder see the need to distance himself from an organization with little to no effect on national politics? The Green Party has more representation then this group.

Since the Green Party has very little support, then I suppose by the logic here, we live in a country with no Green Party.

I didn't say that. Only that I fail to see why Yoder think he needs to stress his separation from this group. I don't make a thread tell everyone I'm a separate form of Libertarian from the Minnesota Libertarian Party, now do I?

I'll let yoder speak for himself.

My point was to refute the comment that I live in a country that has no Conservative party.

Yoder, I'm confident enough in Christ and his teachings to not need to hear some university professor use ridiculous strawmen like this:
The popular misconceptions about the crusades are that these were aggressive wars of expansion fought by religious fanatics in order to evict Muslims from their homeland, and force conversions to Christianity. Those who really believe any of that betray their ignorance of history.
and this:
It is often assumed that the central goal of the crusades was forced conversion of the Muslim world. Nothing could be further from the truth.
To try to convince me that God's Word and God's will as manifested through Christ is as vapid and useless as this:
The ancient faith of Christianity, with its respect for women and antipathy toward slavery, not only survived but flourished. Without the crusades, it might have followed Zoroastrianism, another of Islam’s rivals, into extinction.” But for the crusades Europe would have probably fallen to Islam and the USA would never have come into existence.
