The vast majority of Never Trumpers did not vote for him in 2016 and will not vote for him in 2020. From a Trump campaign perspective their votes are irrelevant.

Bill Kristol was probably the first journalist Neo con to oppose Trump in 2016. In a bad news week for Democrats I guess the media reviving his dead bones helps with a certain narrative.

You probably didn't know. Trump lied when he said it was illegal to tear the paper. But dissing a draft dodger like Trump is, in the minds of the extreme right, the same thing as retaliating against a real war hero for doing his duty. We all get that.

Apparently Senate Republicans implored this President not to terminate Vindman and his brother, whose only crime was that he shared the same last name!

Many of those Senators in "purple" states put their seats at risk to vote against impeachment and this is how this President rewards them!

Trump's desire for revenge supersedes any gratitude to those who saved his presidency!

A "crime" isn't necessary. Actually, it proves the point that this was not retaliation. Vindman has irreconcilable ideological differences with the President, and is therefore unsuited to a job in the White House. The same in regards to his brother. Apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. As far as the Senators are concerned, why should they b running their mouths regarding a decision they know is not theirs to make? What about separation of powers?

Burt there is no doubt the man is a good businessman and knows how to push his weight around. His ways are certainly not unfamiliar out in the corporate or mobster world. Politicians are just not sure how to handle this outsider for they are of a different ilk. As for the people, they fall for the cons of good salesmen all the time, so of course they will support this change of governing. They bought into the scheme in the same way they support all night telemarketing..

As far as the Senators are concerned, why should they be running their mouths regarding a decision they know is not theirs to make?

The republican senators, except Romney have no reason to complain. They knew what he is, and let him off. Now, as elections loom, a number of them are going to be out of jobs. They have no one to blame but themselves.
