CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think people think of it as the Blood of Jesus making people sicker. But the accidents. Must be something to it. The Bishop withdrew the cup last year for a time. Like I said... I just don't make an issue of it.
I do both since the Bishop reinstated the Chalice though!
Just think of it this way... if I was really sick with strep or something would you want to come drink after me?
For people of faith where this does not bother them... I admire. For those that think in a more naturalistic sense... I understand.
I recall the bird flu scare and parishes remving the cup for awhile.
I also heard once that the USA has permission to use the cup and wine and that other countries only do the bread.

I'm not sure how it works in other countries. Last year ther Chalice was removed due to swine flu.
