So that's good news for Iowa -- bad news for Iowa State -- who now has 1 loss and one cancelled game.
They need six wins to be bowl-eligible; and getting a make-up game might be necessary.
FIVE Big 12 teams are 2-0 right now; astonishingly, Baylor is one of them.
Even KANSAS has a win!
Maybe Iowa can beat Ohio State - Rutgers didn't do it.
I want ALL the big 12 schools to go to bowls, I also like all the teams from the old Southwest conference; Houston Cougars seem impressive; Rice and SMU seem weak.
Alabama vs Arkansas State was a mismatch.
Clemson squeaked by Texas A&M.
Teams I DON'T like are Penn State and Notre Dame.
When I was in college at University of Texas -- Joe Montana played for Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl against Texas -- he BOUNCED A PASS OFF OF A REFEREE'S HEAD and a Notre Dame guy caught it for a TD and won the game.
Montana is the LUCKIEST qb to ever play the game.
Lightning delays are rampant -- even a local high school game was cancelled here.
My son has been accepted into a Bachelors of Nursing program at Texas Tech (their Austin campus); he starts in January; he got a Bachelors in Music at Southern Mississippi; was going to be a concert classical guitar player but developed problem with a tendon in his thumb.
Southern Miss lost by one point yesterday.
Now I must be a Texas Tech fan as well.
Well, I want the impossible -- Iowa to beat Ohio State -- and Kansas, Baylor, Rice, Iowa State and SMU all go to bowl games!
Baylor's enemy is TCU -- they used to be pretty even in the RG3 days and shortly thereafter.
