Hello world!

I'm in need of some ideas for a small group that I lead with my husband. It's for college and young adults and the feel of the small group is all things relationships. Whether it be romantic, friends, co-workers, family.. you name it. We want to talk about it. Currently, we're use to 12-14 week discussions. We need one to close out the semester.

We've already gone through:
Fit to be Tied- Bill and Lynn Hybels
The 5 Love Languages for Singles- Dr. Gary Chapman

We want to stick to the same focus for the group...

Any topic ideas that could get us through 6 weeks? (Meeting once a week)

One of the things I find lacking in church and Sunday school classes are the times directed to serving the actual needs of the body of Christ.

How many believers have questions that they want answers to but were afraid to ask?

How many did not ask questions because it would divert from the main topic of the lesson?

Have you ever considered having a box for those attending to place their questions in anonymously so that you & your husband can answer those questions next time you all meet?

One can ask for any questions on the floor at that time and if to avoid any embarassment, be sure to include any questions that they may have come across from other believers or family members or other people asking about their faith or the Bble that they did not have an answer to. That way they can ask the question that they have without looking like a doubter or a mocker for asking that question.

We are to edify one another, but in a course of established routine and scheduled patented lessons, someone may be suffering a crisis of faith that pretty soon, they are just not coming any more, because being a professing christian can lead to persecution.

1 Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

They need to learn how to ask Jesus Christ at that throne of grace for help as well as for the answers they seek, because He is their Good Shepherd as well as their Saviour.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
