I am so sorry I missed this, thought we were starting Jan.:sigh:

I'm sure some will be led to start Proverbs- A Chapter a Day in January... what better time than the start of a fresh new year! I encourage you to do it! * And spread the word, who knows who might join in

Exactly. Proverbs has always stood out to me as something which we read and intend to carry on. It's a great foundation for Christian conduct not just toward others but also towards ourselves and how we practice our faith.

Not many better months to start it than January for precisely those reasons :)

I have just started reading 2 Peter 3 ...a chapter a day through to the end of Revelation.

It looks good, chapter 3 starts with hope for growing Christians, and ties up with Revelation, verses 10 and 11 on the second coming of Christ.
my prayer for friends on the forum...

I almost started reading Proverbs again this month, but decided not to. In 2009 I purposed to read the book of Proverbs every month, but fizzled out in the middle of November. I don't know why. However, on the bright side, I did read it ten and a half times that year. :) Right now feeling a desire to read Daniel... and then goin' where God leads from there. :)

I am going to read Daniel soon too. Proverbs teaches us how to live an upright life and one of principle and conviction; Daniel's life is a great example of one.

Listened to a great sermon series on Daniel too.
