Hmmm. Guess I had better not ever run for president......:sorry:

Funny, when I read this post, Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" just came on the old Windows Media Player.

I think I'll be seeing you in a differnt light.....

The real nasty thing about it all was the insinuation that he may have been a dealer. It's ludicrous . . .

Oh uh...I gave no credence what-so-ever to that but now that you use "ludicous" to describe it, I have doubts. "Ludicous" is often used as "hypocrite" is used-- to distract attention from the truth.

yup, voeg. I have secret inside information about Obama and I'm trying to distract everyone from it. Sometimes ludicrous (and hypocrite) are used exactly as they were intended

When selecting a President I would like to think of somebody who has led a squeaky clean life.
Real people are not speaky clean. <Staff edit> ain't anybody that's squeaky clean. Some just have better locks on their closets than others.
I am not one to cast stones or to judge so much but if we are talking about the Presidency, previous cocaine use would be a good grounds for criticism.
After electing Bush, not a one of you would have a lick of credibility in your critisicm for a dem coke user.

I think we need to get over ourselves about finding the perfectly clean President. Everybody has stuff they have done that they are not all that proud of. I guess I would rather have a leader with a dirty past than one that is dirty in office but pretending to be clean.

I really hate it when the mudslinging starts. Hillary of all people should not even go there. She has a whole guilt by association thing in the eyes of some Americans regarding Monicagate and other shady dealings during the Clinton years. I just wish she would deal with issues and not with the personal lives of the other candidates.

The Clintons have been assisting drug smugglers for years.

And don't get me started about the deaths around the Clintons

Or the OKC bombing coverup (and how all the Mena files just happened to be destroyed in the OKC federal building).

Hey...do you think the Clintons sprung for th Green Goblin to commit the murders or did they maybe go with Lex Luthor? I mean the Green Goblin just seems so OBVIOUS, but Lex, you'd never suspect him

I would look not at the candidate but who is putting him up. David Geffen, David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs are the major forces behind the Obama campaign. Whoever they sponsor will be clean (or clean enough). But what sort of America are they interested in creating? What are they like? What other causes do they have, causes Obama might not be so eager to talk about to voters?

Could all the charges and snide innuendos against Obama-- about drugs from Clinton and Senator Obama's muslim father from Democrat Senator Kerrey--be missing the real point? The real point being: what does Obama really stand for? What do those who are footing the bill for his campaign want?

All I hear from Obama himself are empty platitudes. He wants "change". He wants to "move foward". His faith is important to him.
