We should make ourselves ready for the return of Christ as though He would return at any moment. Therefore we should do all we can to advance the Kingdom of God while we still have the power to do so.

You must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour. (Luke 12:40)

Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)

Not knowing when the dawn will come, I open every door. (Emily Dickinson)

Seems kinda funny that we humans are always worried about overpopulation... if life is giong to go on forever, and has been going on for countless years, you'd think we are way more overpopulated (with animals and whatnot). ;)

No one can predict when Christ will return.... no matter how sophisticated your counting of numbers in the Bible is ;)

Ok. Well I didn't mean He isn't going to. But it is silly to think we can when He didn't even tell the Apostles, and the early church in Acts even thought He was coming in the near future (as in, any moment). He still IS going to come soon. any moment. Who knows when that moment is...

lol you can't say that he is coming. Just cause its in the bible WHICH I SAY AGAIN IS A BOOk. Because there isn't any proof that he is coming back, and i since i don't believe in god and christ i don't think he is going to come back.

wow, this thread took off fast...

paulewog,

Nostradamus was a prophet. He did "count numbers"...He simply saw it in his head...His predictions were quite accurate, so there is some ground to say that he may be right in his prediction that the second Christ was born in the year 2000.

There are prophets living amongs us...Like the bible says, it's a gift....it's actually one of the greatest gifts of all.

And yes, people who have been pronounced dead, brain and heart, have come back to life....this is a fact.

HUH, There isn't any proof that jesus or god is real, and the Laws of Physcis does not allow some one that is all powerfull and Knowing like GOD, if there was there would be proof. I believe in the proof that physcis has gave us not what is in the bible.

hey seesaw,

I have read articles and heard testimonies from people who were pronounced dead and came back to life hours, even days afterwards. And no one is pronounced dead until they are brain dead...Anway, I will see if i can find any info for you to read up on.
