1) Don’t be so negative
2) Don’t get caught in every outrage wave
3) Don’t be too partisan
4) Don’t use crude memes
5) Don’t self-elevate
6) Don’t humblebrag
7) Don’t “spiritual-brag”
8) Don’t brag about your social media fast
9) Don’t act like you have it all together

DISCERNMENT
10) Don’t blindly trust all “Christian” sources
11) Don’t blindly share “Christian” quotes

CULTURE
12) Don’t give in to “Christian” peer pressure

NASTINESS
13) Don’t be mean
14) Don’t attack people

Here’s a better way to disagree:

First, ask clarifying questions. Try to get a clear reason why the person believes what they believe. Then respectfully share why you disagree with their belief. Some people will get nasty no matter how polite you are. Usually that’s a good sign that you don’t need to continue the conversation.

15) Don’t be too proud to apologize

Bonus rule #1) Thank people for being civil
Bonus rule #2) Be an encourager!

This is really helpful. I see some areas where I can do better. Not to humblebrag, or anything. ;)

(I'm not real sure I'm using that word correctly)

If we met such a person in person, we would easily just leave. Yet on line, for some reason, we dig in deeper. Not sure why that is.

Humble and spiritual brag are reactive slogans used against people doing or possessing something the viewer lacks. There’s nothing wrong with sharing good news, blessings, or accomplishments. We’re supposed to rejoice with one another.

I love hearing what God has done for someone and how they’re growing too. Testimonies shouldn’t spark envy or negativity. Nor should we penalize someone for praising God’s goodness.

The allegations of fake, humblebrag, and spiritual-brag are indicative of insecurities, jealousy, and conviction in some cases. We must learn contentment and develop a willingness to celebrate with others. Including those whose circumstances are better than ours.

Yours in His Service,

~bella

Amen whole lot of truth in your post. I hope I never come off like that on the net . I don't have it all together . I don't have all the answers. I'm no better than anyone else, in fact I'm probably worse then your average.
Never to proud to apologize when the holy spirit checks me and let's me know I was wrong

I do love to see and hear good things happen to other people as bella put it . I do love to see how god is moving in people's lives.
I do like to see what you cook and what youre eating .

Would saying that you’re not going to humblebrag anymore is actually a form of passive humblebraging?

May be Christians shouldn't even use social media except for spreading the word of GOD and business purposes.

Peace be to all those in the body of Christ
