If anyone has heard of Meetup, it's a pretty handy platform where anyone from any walk of life can host events regarding special interests, hobbies, and what-not. If you like the outdoors, there are outdoor Meetups, if you like board games, there are Meetups for those and so on.
Now, there's a Christian singles Meetup in our area that at one time, I think, catered to a single large church and had started using it as a platform for singles with that church, but now...it's meant for any Christian singles event for that city.
So there are Bible Studies at any given section of the city now, not one specific church. So a lot of churches in the area are using the site.
However, the majority of it is completely uneventful. Now, there's a Labor Day picnic coming up with quite a few RSVP's , but other than the major holidays, you only see an organizer on the list, and that's it.
So I'm wondering if this Meetup is a bit too broad in this regards and also, if anyone uses Meetup to host any Christian singles events, how has it been for you?
