In the 50's, Ernie Ford had a highly rated syndicated TV show; so high, that NBC offered him the chance to move to their national network. But there was a catch--they demanded that he drop the hymn at the close of every show. Ernie told them no thanks, I cannot drop the hymn.
Hiis syndicated ratings were so high, that NBC relented, and brought his show on boaard. Guess what the most popular part of the program was??
