Okay, peeps. I'm looking for some new music. I've been on a two year, music fast, which is odd considering I'm a musician. Before that, I had given up on Christian music and gone entirely secular...
Here's the deal, I can't find anything I like. I've even checked out The Drop over at Relevant. The problem is, that every new Christian artist sounds to my ears like they're trying to find the place that lies between Of Monsters and Men and Coldplay. Literally dozens of artists seem to have the same sound. It's a cool, edgy sound, don't get me wrong. I just don't like it.
Could someone please point me in the direction of some Christian rock that is shooting for a sound somewhere in the Black Keys / Jack White / Heartless B*st*rds / Raconteurs / Jet pocket? Does this grungy, bluesy sound exist in Christian Music? Steve Taylor and the Perfect Foil came close, but there was something missing. That was the last music I purchased from iTunes if that helps.
