I love the biographies of Joseph Pearce. He has many great biographies of Christian writers, such as Tolkien, Chesterton, Belloc, etc.

Also, as for autobiographies, I would recommend G.K. Chesterton's and C.S. Lewis's Surprised by Joy

I like to read Christian biographies as well. Some of my two favorites are "A Chance to Die" by Elisabeth Elliot (biography of Amy Charmichael) and "The Heavenly Man" by Brother Yun. I also like Hudson Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, and George Muller. I like reading about missionaries a lot.

You might also like Port of Two Brothers by Paul L. Schlener then. The story of two missionary brothers and their families in the Amazon from the 50's-90's. Warning it can be quite 'harrowing' reading.

There is Run Baby Run by Nicky Cruz. It's about the true story of Nicky, a violent street criminal who turns his life over to God. It's not for the faint of heart, but it's an amazing book!

A good read is St. Francis of Assisi by Omer Englebert. I picked up a clean (small sized) paperback version several years back. Thorough accounting of St. Francis' life & beliefs. His life story never gets old to me..

Leanne Payne - Heaven's Calling is worth reading. She was in Pastoral Ministry and taught at universities for 30+ years. In her early life she lost her way as a christian, and tells about that in her autobiography.
