In response to the pagan notions seen elsewhere, and

as strange as it may seem, there is a connection between sex and our relationship with God.

Material creation is for a reflection of divine reality.

The clouds are for a reflection of God's invisibility.

Human life by the seed from man is a reflection of eternal life by the seed of God, which is the word.

"The life is in the blood" is a reflection of eternal life in the blood of Christ (his sacrificial death) for all who believe (Ro 3:25).

Likewise, the pleasure and intimacy of sex is a reflection of all the references in the NT to God and Christ "in us," the Church, the bride and body of Christ, the two-in-one-flesh of marriage.

God designed sex as a reflection of his pleasure in his intimacy with those he loves; i.e., those who believe in his Son, Jesus Christ.

It was his divine wisdom which gave sex as a reflection of his pleasure in intimacy with those he loves.

Staggering!
