Oh, that's just my way of saying I'm waiting for God's choice, because when I don't it doesn't end well, even when I think she's a good choice.

I appreciated most of it, where I really disagreed was that God will give you a good wife if you ask. I've been saved for many years now. I've asked more times than I care to count, no wife yet.
Also, the line about ex-prostitutes was highly optimistic theory, mainly. If you want to know the difference between theory and practice, read honest testimonies from and about ex-prostitutes who have found the Lord to find out what they're really like. If a guy is still interested after introducing himself to reality in that way, he can go for it, but failing to do that is foolish.

Oh yes, it is a good thing - but there's no relationship between that and character. Some moralizers and some who are afraid of moralizing incorrectly treat it as an inverse relationship - almost as if plain or ugly looks must indicate good character. That ain't true. There are plenty of women who are ugly inside and out.

Maybe you and others that feel as you do hold yourselves back. Even God can't give if you close yourself off.
