Here are some recipes for the guys!

Two ingredients?!? How is a bachelor supposed to manage that?

I plan to make these in the morning, maybe some other sweet stuff too.

I was expecting, "Hey, hey we're the monkeys" or something.

I know I always have trouble with accents myself. British I love, but southern is the worst for me. When I moved from up north to down south, there are these few which have this heavy duty southern tang (combined with talking fast). When they dont have their teeth in (you can just forget communications) lol. I always felt bad saying, Im sorry, I didnt catch that, could you say that again? (three times). By the fourth time I still didnt catch whatever it was they were saying but would just chuckle and say, Im just so darn useless with my bad hearing, it seems to be getting worse (thanks them for their patience) and then when they reattempt to speak with you (at all) its diliberately slower much louder but far lesser to you

Im glad I have calls received on my cell phone recording who called (and their number) because I have yet to catch any phone number in full left me on it

Hey I made that desert and it's cooling
but I also made these chocolate cookies MMM,
I'll have to post that recipe...
Made some strawberry jello cookies too
but I have to bake them yet, they're still
in the fridge.
If they're amazing, I'll post them.

My diet is not going well btw.

I tasted it.. The one with the cake mix.

But I can't leave it alone now.
Even though it's rich.. MMM

And the chocolate cookies are a hit.

I can't find the recipe so let me type it.
No worries if you don't want it.
(But i've already had someone ask me for it
so they're pretty yum.)
They look similar to the picture below.

• 1 C flour
• 1/3 c cocoa powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1 stick butter softened
• 2/3 c sugar
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 T milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• sprinkles
• kisses

Combine flour cocoa and salt, set aside
Beat butter, and sugar until light and fluffy
Add egg yolk, milk and vanilla, mix
Wrap in plastic and refridgerate about an hour.
Roll into 1 inch balls, roll in sprinkles.
Bake on at 350 about 10 minutes
After removing from oven, immediately put
a kiss or hug in each. (good without too imo)

Ive been dying to try this recipe for awhile, I think I will give this one a go this weekend. Ive been putting it off because I hate coring and cutting apples but it looks rather delish.

Caramel Apple Bars

HOMEMADE CARAMEL:

1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup light corn syrup
4 Tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt


CRUST:

1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup ground pecans
2 cups rolled oats

FILLING:

3 1/2 cups sliced apples (about 24 ounces)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup homemade caramel

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line 9x13-inch pan with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.

2. Prepare caramel: Mix caramel ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring constantly, until it reaches soft-ball stage (230-234 degrees). Remove from heat.
3. In a medium bowl, beat the brown sugar and the next 4 ingredients (through baking soda) until thoroughly combined. Mix in the flour, ground pecans and oats until crumbly. scoop out 1 cup and set aside. Place the remaining crumbs into your prepared pan and press down firmly to coat the bottom.
4. Toss apples in a large bowl with the salt and cinnamon. Arrange them over the crust. Drizzle 1 cup of warm caramel over the top and the sprinkle with the remaining crumbs you set aside.
5. Bake 35- 40 minutes until bubbly and the apples are just tender. Remove and let cool until they are just warm to the touch. Cut into squares. Try and let the bars rest until the caramel has set before serving.

Tips:

*The caramel recipe makes more than you will use for this recipe, so you can pour the rest into an 8x8-inch pan lined with foil and let cool. Cut into squares and you have your own homemade caramel squares!

Hey a two for one deal with this recipe.

I got a hankering for this one, soooo.... gonna hopefully try this unless something better comes up, I just never know. Lord willing (I should say) I dont know how many times I have intended to do something and was struck suddenly with the "way too lazy". We'll see, if I make it I'll come back and tell if its worth a shot

Missed this part because Im not much of a chocolate cookies and sprinkles person but I want to try this. In fact I'll pick up that cake mix and I betcha I will make your recipe before I will mine. I will say, "nah, Im just not in the mood to core apples" I never am

P.S by the way, moisture guy was out (all good) atrium is being done wednesaday, and the 2nd roof (leaking) is being done friday. We'll be in the dry Lord willing next week.

For now we just have a pretty blue tarp over things

No, but he is giving me an estimate on doing what he told me not to worry about because he tested the area for moisture and said it was dry. Though I have a huge attic fan bout 5 feet because I live in one of those earthberm homes and its sort of one of those whole house fans and I had it running the whole time which might have helped

He said something like the black mold killer stuff comes mostly from sewage type water, like when a bathroom type water leaks (like an upstairs bathroom) and it gets into your drywall and is not cleaned properly (and thats where the most harmful of bacterias is). Something to that effect. He said the kind you could possible get through rainwater (though black in color) is just allergy type stuff but wouldnt affect us anyway by the way our floorpla is laid out also. He told me I could sell you whatever you want Im only going to make alot of money off of you by lying to you but your really fine. However he said theres nothing here to worry about, I told him draw me up an estimate to do what you do anyway, so waiting for that. I might or might not I dont know, he was really trying to talk me out of it and the guy was referred to me by nationwide insurance.

We do have a built in system installed into our heating and cooling system for killing airborn bacteria, spore, and viruses with ultraviolet light in it too.

He could have sold me easy on it, but he actually fought the sale, reassuring me I did not have a problem, but if I would like, he would do it anyway and get paid for something I didnt need.

Im comfortable with it. Besides, either way wouldnt so much matter to me anyways to be absolutely truthful.

So I will leave it at that
