For the most part, for me and others it turned out better to not even read the posts of some religions because they don't come here to learn anything. Actually that was a surprise for me and took months to find out - not reading the posts led to much greater true peace, and to encouraging posts with others who are seeking Yahweh's Kingdom now, instead of some other kingdom.

How would you know ? Since this post of yours is totally in error, there doesn't seem to be seeking* truth on your part, does there ?

*for years now. As seen previously in the content of your replies.

What is sin? What does God's Word tell us is sin?

What is it to be holy? Is it to do as God Commands us? to recognize that which He has Hallowed (made Holy)?

It is the Holy Spirit that writes God's laws on our hearts. We are born again. We are new creatures.

It is funny. I've been attacked all through this thread by hyper-non-legalists, and now by a legalist. What fun...

Exactly. The "will of the Father" is to "believe on the Son."

I hope that you do not see my responses to you as an "attack"...

I am curious as well, as to what you mean by "hyper non-legalists."

Indeed. James has been difficult for many (myself included) which is why we must earnestly study and search the Scriptures, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We know God is not the Author of confusion and He does not contradict Himself.

Salvation is a gift, not earned or merited by us. It is the grace of God in Christ Jesus. Period.

    God bless.

A hyper non-legalists? Don’t know who our good friend has in mind but if a vote were taken , I think Luther would be a prime candidate. “Sin Boldly”. Dim bulbs do not understand where he was coming from....I thank God for him

Yes, about Christians who have the Holy Spirit in them who don't depend on the Holy Spirit.
That is why most believers live defeated lives.
Paul said he wanted to do good, but the law kept condemning him. That is why Paul makes such a big deal about not being under the law.
Many believers today are depending on Jesus for there salvation, but they are told the need to keep the law or have good behavior to be blessed by God. So in Chapter 8, Paul tells the believer how they can have victory and be blessed by God.

If we do not depend on the Spirit we will not have victory. Many powerless Christians will go to Heaven because they believed on Jesus and His finished work, but all there works will be burnt up as in 1 Corinthians 3.
Paul wrote to believing Galatians that they should walk in the Spirit and then they would not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
No truer words have been spoken.

The "Kingdom of God" and "salvation" are not the same thing.
Jesus said in John 3:3, 8 that we must be born again, for if we were not born again we could not see or enter the Kingdom of God. Being born again and salvation are the same thing.

Because I believe Paul’s Gospel I am Righteous in Gods eyes.i make absolutely NO effort to keep the law..I’ve discovered a paradox in my faith...the less I work at keeping the law,The better I do at it....now that does not make sense! Unless God put the law in my heart.what a joyful life I found when I learned to “ let go and let God””

    Martin Luther "Sin boldly"):
"If you are a preacher of mercy, do not preach an imaginary but the true mercy. If the mercy is true, you must therefore bear the true, not an imaginary sin. God does not save those who are only imaginary sinners. Be a sinner, and let your sins be strong, but let your trust in Christ be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death, and the world. We will commit sins while we are here, for this life is not a place where justice resides. We, however, says Peter (2. Peter 3:13) are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth where justice will reign. It suffices that through God’s glory we have recognized the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. No sin can separate us from Him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day. Do you think such an exalted Lamb paid merely a small price with a meager sacrifice for our sins? Pray hard, for you are quite a sinner."

Revelation 3:3-6 to the age of the Reformation
    The Dead Church
3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,

‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

Thank you for this huge clue. I've often wondered why there are so many that are lost in the church when we all use the same Bible. It's not the Bible they are reading, it is Luther! Yikes!
