Where Ross Douthat writes his opinion in the NYT.

As far as criticizing the Pope:

The risk that needs to be taken- because to avoid criticizing Francis is to slight this pope's importance, to fail to do justice to the breadth of his ambitions and purposes, his real historical significance, his clear position as the most important religious figure of our age.

Its a good thing we're starting to take these things with a smile and just shake our heads.

Michie I don't feel the love when it says catholics Only. But okay I am out
Well that's your decision. It's the rules. All safe havens have them. Maybe I should go into the Methodist forum and say the same. Or when I'm out and nature calls and I can't use then men's room I can complain about not feeling the love.

Or if a police officer stops me because I did not see the STOP sign...it might get me out of a ticket because I did not want to follow the rules . Seriously, what's so hard to understand? It has nothing to do with love or hate. We just want a funtional forum we can enjoy. Fellowship is still allowed. But I guess that must not be high on most Christian's list....
