Does it matter?

The books are canon because they are infallible in matters of doctrine and faith. They don't have to be accurate in other ways for that to be true.

I agree with the latter part of this statement. As a theologian and a Bible scholar it does matter. It matters because it's interesting and could be a part of the history of the Bible. It is always worth knowing.
